What will happen when you call or make an enquiry?

When you call us for your free consultation, we will ask you to provide details about your case before identifying any further issues which may be of relevance to any case, including the importance of your licence to you.

We can then go about advising you on the issues most likely to affect your case and will propose a strategy as to how to approach your defence, in order to achieve the best possible outcome for you.

You have our assurance that if we do not feel that you require our assistance we will be honest with you from the start. This is because we only accept cases in which we believe there is a need for legal representation and where we believe we can provide an effective, value for money service.

What are our fees

At Caddick Davies we believe in complete transparency when it comes to our fees and will discuss our costs with you during your initial telephone call or in response to your email enquiry.

Most commonly, our fees are provided on a fixed fee basis, meaning that we agree a fee for all the work required in your case, including its preparation and your representation at court. You can then move forward with the confidence that there will be no hidden or unexpected charges at the conclusion of your case.

In more complex cases and for those requiring our highest possible level of service and personal representation by firm principal, Mr Neil Davies, we also carry out work on an hourly basis. In those cases we will provide a very clear estimate of prices from the start and will keep you updated of the costs throughout.

And remember, if we are successful in defending your case you will be entitled to a Defendant Costs Order, which entitles you to recover the costs of your legal representation.

To find out more you can take a detailed look at our fees on our fee page.

What makes us Specialist Motoring Solicitors

From the moment you make the first contact with us we will conduct a thorough review of your case to decide the best and most realistic approach to your situation and because we do not undertake any other legal work we truly are dedicated Motoring Solicitors and specialists in our field.

This means we are able to focus on specific cases such as speeding offences, avoiding penalty points disqualifications (exceptional hardship), drink driving, no insurance, careless and dangerous driving on a daily basis. So we are able to spend all of our time on these complex areas – providing you with the highest standard of legal representation available.

We use our technical expertise, tactical awareness and access to the best motoring experts to present a strong and robust defence against your prosecution in cases where we believe that there is a realistic chance of defending your case.

However, it is sometimes possible that following an open and honest assessment of your case, we will advise that the best course of action for you to take is mitigation.

This can range from arguing that you should not be disqualified from driving because of the consequences for you and your family, to more technical arguments that there are “special reasons” in connection with your case such that the court can exercise discretion and not endorse points or disqualify you. Maybe you were driving with no insurance but had no idea your policy had been cancelled?

We also believe that you should never limit your approach, that’s why we employ a “think outside the box” policy where possible, and if appropriate seek to negotiate with the prosecution to withdraw the case against you in favour of a driver improvement or a speed awareness course.

What is our success rate

When asked about what we have done in the past and what we can do for you, we prefer to point you in the direction of our testimonials, as we believe they say everything about the service and expertise we can offer you.

We do not believe in quoting success rates by way of percentage, as we believe this to be both unethical and misleading as each and every case must be considered on its individual merits.

We fully understand the importance of protecting your licence and the impact that any prosecution will have on you and your family, that’s why we pride ourselves in the results we achieve and on which we are happy to be judged.

So call us today on 0203 390 9942 for a free telephone consultation or use our email enquiry form and we’ll get straight back to you.
